The Andover brand can be expressed in many ways that align with our usage guidelines. Below you will find several current popular examples.
Phillips Academy “A”
Standalone “Andover A”
The standalone “Andover A” can be used as a visual element. Appropriate uses include apparel, swag, decals, magnets, etc. It can be used as a design element but should not be used in place of a lockup to identify Phillips Academy.
HOME brand graphic
HOME
Andover’s “HOME” graphic was created in 2020 to connect graduating seniors to one another and the school during the pandemic. The design's success has since proliferated to a strong sense of place and Big Blue pride for alumni and current students. HOME remains an approved exception to the brand standards.
- Minimum size of the “HOME” graphic is 3 inches or 288 pixels wide
- Colors of the “HOME” graphics can be PA blue, white, or black
- “HOME” cannot be used in conjunction with other brand marks
- Limited use for apparel, swag, decals
- Can be used for Reunion/Alumni Relations or Admissions communication materials, with review and approval from the Communications Office
“Andover” brand mark
Andover
The website, email marketing templates, and social media designs may use the stand-alone “Andover” mark. The “Andover” moniker is synonymous with the global Phillips Academy and serves as a differentiator in the independent school market.
While it is common to refer to Phillips Academy as Andover, this graphic is reserved for specific digital platforms and may not be replicated outside of the outlined brand guidelines.
Andover Summer
Andover Summer hosts several enrichment programs for students across the globe A branding system was developed with a strong tie to Phillips Academy while infusing a seasonal touch to distinguish it from programs during the academic year.
- The minimum size of the Andover Summer logo is 1.5 inches or 144 pixels.
- The Andover Summer logo cannot be used in conjunction with other brand marks.
- The Andover Summer brand system includes the primary colors of the Academy brand and the secondary yellow. It includes a 3-color logo, which can be on white or reversed on PA blue.
- Summer Session version uses a stack of the Andover Summer Logo, Summer Session wordmark, and the tagline.
- Approved background colors for products like apparel include dark/medium blues and white.
