Affiliate Programs
Learning in the World has cultivated relationships with organizations outside of Phillips Academy whose programming complements our own PA faculty/staff-led opportunities. These organizations have been identified by members of the Learning in the World community and are recognized leaders in global and intercultural education. Most affiliate programs take place in person, though some offer virtual opportunities, as well.
To indicate their intention to apply to an affiliate program, students must first complete the “Main Application for March/Summer/Affiliates” form on the online portal and rank their affiliate choice among all the LITW options they are seeking. Next, they must complete the “Affiliate Program(s) Expression of Interest” form and submit both forms by 5 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2024.
Need-based financial assistance is available from Learning in the World for affiliate programs.
In some cases, tuition for affiliate programs exceeds our ability to fully meet your demonstrated need, but we endeavor to make these opportunities as accessible as possible for you. Please be in touch with Mrs. Andréa Gerakaris ([email protected]) from the Financial Aid office with specific inquiries regarding your circumstances.
Generally, financial assistance from Learning in the World can be combined with awards and scholarships from our affiliates. Send your inquiries on available funding opportunities to the admission office of the corresponding affiliate organization.

All affiliate programs are offered as listed above. We will not accept expressions of interest in programs with other organizations, elsewhere in the world, or outside of the listed dates, even when the affiliate offers additional opportunities.
The Expression of Interest is NOT an application to an affiliate program, but rather it is required by the LITW office so that we may coordinate with students and families on pre- and post-program actions, especially in the financial aid process. Please be sure you know the specific deadlines and requirements that each of our affiliates has in place, as they will vary from LITW’s. In general, the sooner you apply to the affiliate program, the better!
