The Pan Athletic Center

A future view of Andover’s latest facilities enhancement

Andover’s latest facilities enhancement is one step closer to breaking ground. The Pan Athletic Center received significant investments from the Abbot Academy Fund and other leadership donors to push fundraising to $32 million against a $34 million goal.

In particular, the AAF’s $2.5 million commitment will name the dance suite in the highly anticipated campus addition, which will be located near the Snyder Center. Preliminary development can begin as soon as final funding is committed. The leadership pledge to name the center was provided by Zhang Xin and Pan Shiyi P’17, ’19, in spring 2018.

The Pan Athletic Center’s bold design will harmonize with the Snyder Center and launch the next phase of Andover’s Athletic Facilities Master Plan.

Before this campaign, the last time we did something substantial for athletics was when the school was all boys—before Title IX. We’re creating infrastructure enhancements for the aspirations we have now. Andover is always stretching to best serve our community.

A state-of-the-art swimming and diving complex will be a cornerstone of this signature campaign initiative.
The 70,000-square-foot facility will create vibrant spaces for dance and wrestling and house the Andover Athletics Hall of Honor.
