Phillips Academy Summer Session announces newest program, Andover Summer Advantage

The two-week academic refresher is designed to fill educational gaps remaining after a year of hybrid/remote learning


Phillips Academy Summer Session is pleased to announce its newest program, Andover Summer Advantage. The two-week academic refresher is designed to fill educational gaps remaining after a year of hybrid/remote learning. The program is geared toward local students currently in grades 6-11 and will take place in-person on the Phillips Academy campus Monday-Friday, August 2-13, 2021.

Taught by Phillips Academy and Andover Summer faculty, the program will offer courses such as: Critical Reading and Writing, Math Acceleration, and Academic Writing. Students have the flexibility to enroll in one or two courses and all classes will be offered in either an 8:30-10:00 a.m. or 10:30-12:00 p.m. time block. Classes will maintain a 14:1 student:faculty ratio, maximizing engagement and teacher support.

Enrollment for the Andover Summer Advantage program can be accessed via the Andover Summer website www.andover.edu/summeradvantage and is now open; there is no application required for this program. Classes fill on a first come, first serve basis.
