Carol Donnelly ’58

After graduating from Hollins College, 1962, and teaching for two years, Carol began her lifelong commitment, a career of professional volunteerism. She has served as board member, in addition to judge and advisor, in the fields of horticulture and landscape design. Carol graduated from Radcliffe Seminars- Harvard Univ., with a degree in Landscape Design and History. She has used this degree to further conservation, planning and design, both local and regional in scope and purpose.

Carol lives in a multi-generational family home in York Harbor, Maine. She is a former board member of Greater Piscataqua Charitable Foundation-New Hampshire and served as trustee of Maine Community Foundation, Maine Coast Heritage Trust, Massachusetts Horticulture Society, Hollins University Board of Trustees, Phillips Academy Andover Alumnae Council and Board of Trustees, held positions of leadership with the George Mitchell Institute for Scholarship Research, and chaired the Arnold Arboretum Visiting Committee, Harvard College Bd. of Overseers.
